Luminaires were installed before preparation of the ceiling surface was complete.

Completing the finishing work may require removal and reinstallation of the luminaires, with a risk of equipment damage and a poorer finished result.

WHAT TO CHECK

Surface readiness, the sequence of finishing and electrical installation work, and the equipment installation requirements in the design documentation.

RECOMMENDED ACTION

Agree the sequence of finishing and electrical installation work, and prevent premature installation of final fixtures on unprepared surfaces.
